On Friday, we woke up early and decided to take a day trip to Chihuahua to take a tour.

Chihuahua is about 250 miles from Copper Canyon but we took a train so it did not take us that long to arrive at our destination. The train cost $700 USD for all of us.

We walked around Chihuahua and took in the sites.

It was fun to see a mexican university and made us all miss NC State and college life. The Centro Cultural Universitaria was much different than colleges we had seen and was very pretty.

We also saw many different pottery makers as we walked through the streets. Alex decided to buy a pot for $12 USD to remember our time in Chihuahua. It was made out of red clay.

We stopped and took pictures in front of the Palacio de Gobierno, the palace of the government. Kevin loved the arcitecture and we all appreciated the buildings beauty.

By this point we were all extremely hungry and decided to stop for our main meal of the day at Cebolla Roja, a restaurant in town. The menu was very classically mexican with many meats, soups and salads. We all stuffed ourselves silly and our meal cost $250 USD for all of us. Here is a picture of Jamie's meal. She almost cried from the peppers!

We were all full and knew we were facing a long trip back so we decided to board the train home a little early. While we had fun in Chihuahua we were sad we only got to stay for a few hours and learned a lesson about day trips and travel times. The train ride home cost us another $700 USD. We were so  exhuasted when we got home that everyone went to bed early. All of this traveling is starting to take a toll!
